Work-Life Balance: A Stress Free Life

 

Work-life balance refers to the harmony between the demands of one's professional life and personal life. It's about effectively managing time and energy to fulfill responsibilities at work while also allocating time for activities, relationships, and self-care outside of work.


Work-life balance provides job satisfaction, good productivity in professional life with stress free life, healthy relationships and self care in personal life. Whatever is profession or job, it is not only necessity to establish harmony between personal life and professional life but it is mandatory requirement in the fast paced world.


There are some key components, which are helpful in achieving the work life balance :-


1. Self care: Self care is too much important as there is a Hindi saying " Pahala Sukh Nirogi Kaya".


That means first and foremost priority is self care. This may include exercise, meditation, relaxation techniques, quality time spent with loved ones, hobbies, new learnings etc. This is necessary for good mental, physical health and emotional well being.


2. Boundaries: There should be clear boundaries between professional and personal life. One should avoid office related work during quality time spent with family and friends. One should communicate with his or her office colleagues and seniors about these boundaries.


3. New Learning and Use of Technology: Use of technology makes work fast and easy, hence it is important and beneficial to learn new things so that work can be completed smartly at office.


New learnings and use of technology makes one smart worker, more productive, more confident, meeting deadlines and more successful in professional life. Stress free and healthy professional life also pave the path of satisfied personal life and which tends to work life balance.


4. No Mobile: There should be some time in a day without mobile. Now a days, everyone check mobile


regularly after some time again and again, which makes wastage of time and also provides stress to eyes and mind. In the morning there should be 1 or 2 hours at least with "NO MOBILE".


5. Quality time with loved ones: One should spent quality time with loved ones. It may include playing games, cooking food, making paintings, solving puzzles, reading good books, doing gardening etc. with family members.


As cooking food, making pickles, making papad etc. burns your stress as well as it is healthy food for you and your family instead of eating packed and ready made food. Gardening is also double beneficial as it provides fresh vegetables, fresh air inside home and flowers along with stress release.  


6. Spirituality: One should be spiritual because spirituality provides self-discovery, inner-reflection,


inner peace, growth and mindfulness. Spirituality includes prayer, meditation, service, contemplation etc. One should believe in anonymous power which is running this world because there is no loss if we believe in this power but if we believe, then there is some power on which we can leave every thing during our tough time. Thus, there is only one solution for inner peace which is spirituality.


7. Time Heals: "Time Heals " is an English Phrase which means that a painful or difficult situation will seem less bad as time passes. Sometimes, there may be various tough situations in professional or personal life which will be resolved automatically with time. Thus, One should believe in "Time Heals" and wait for good time patiently.
